I’ve been a Treadfit regular for a while, as both a client and an instructor. I can confidently say it conditioned me to take on one of the most intense fitness challenges out there—Hyrox—without any formal race prep. For those unfamiliar, Hyrox is a global fitness competition that combines running with functional workouts like sled pushes, rowing, wall balls, and burpee broad jumps. It’s a true test of endurance, strength, and grit.

When a last-minute opportunity came up to compete in the Hyrox Doubles division with Stacey Koszut, I didn’t hesitate. Despite having done zero Hyrox-specific training, I knew my time at Treadfit had me ready. The format at Treadfit—alternating blocks of strength and running—mirrors the structure of a Hyrox race more than I realized. Because I consistently lifted heavy and pushed myself through those treadmill intervals, I was already primed for the challenge.

Treadfit didn’t just help me stay fit—it unknowingly prepared me for a race I had no intention of doing this race this year, let alone in 2 weeks. Jumping into Hyrox with no prep and still crushing it was proof that consistent, well-rounded training works. Huge thanks to the Treadfit community for building me into the kind of athlete who can say “yes” to a race like this on a whim—and finish strong (top third, baby!).
